development centers to physical rehabilitation and job
training for people with disabilities, Easter Seals
offers a variety of services to help people with disabilities
address life's challenges and achieve personal goals.

City Police Care Team - An organization providing
assistance for police officers and their families in time
of need.

The
National Center for Missing and Exploited Children
- Established in 1984 as a private, nonprofit 501(c)
(3) organization to provide services nationwide for
families and professionals in the prevention of abducted,
endangered, and sexually exploited children. Pursuant
to its mission and its congressional mandates (see 42
U.S.C. §§ 5771 et seq.; 42 U.S.C. § 11606;
22 C.F.R. § 94.6), NCMEC.
- Serves
as a clearinghouse of information about missing
and exploited children.
Operates a CyberTipline that the public may use
to report Internet-related child sexual exploitation.

Provides technical assistance to individuals and
law-enforcement agencies in the prevention, investigation,
prosecution, and treatment of cases involving missing
and exploited children
Assists the U.S. Department of State in certain
cases of international child abduction in accordance
with the Hague Convention on the Civil Aspects of
International Child Abduction.

Offers training programs to law-enforcement and
social-service professionals.

Distributes photographs and descriptions of missing
children worldwide.

Coordinates child-protection efforts with the private
sector.

Networks with nonprofit service providers and state
clearinghouses about missing-persons cases.

to help ensure the protection of children.

KC ASIS Charity Golf Tournament
- The KCFOP is an annual Underwriting Sponsor of the KCASIS
Charity Golf Tournament providing support for the National
Center for Missing and Exploited Children.

SAFE - Surviving Spouse and Family
Endowment Fund - The Surviving Spouse And Family Endowment
Fund, "S.A.F.E." exists to serve the families
of Law Enforcement Officers, Firefighters and Emergency
Services Personnel in the Kansas City metropolitan area
who have perished while protecting our community and
our citizens. We do this in an effort to help ease the
pain felt by these suffering families through emotional
and financial support. In this way we hope to repay
some of the kindness, dedication and ultimately the
sacrifice that these heroes have shown us.

The
Martin Hynes Police Memorial - The KCFOP
provided $500 to the Heart of America Emerald Society
for the Martin Hynes Memorial located at 10th and Main.
This Memorial commemorates the memory of
Officer Martin Hynes who was shot
to death on December 30, 1881. Officer Hynes was the
first officer killed in the line of duty in Kansas City,
Missouri.

Special Olympics
--- provides year-round sports training and athletic competition
in a variety of Olympic-type sports for children and adults
with mental disabilities, giving them continuing opportunities
to develop physical fitness, demonstrate courage, experience
joy, and participate in a sharing of gifts, skills and
friendship with their families, other Special Olympics
athletes, and the community.
- The
annual KFOP Baconball Tournament -- organized
for the KCFOP and sponsored by the KCFOP provides an
opportunity for tournament competition among a wide
variety of law enforcement softball teams from throughout
the Midwestern United States in the Autumn each year.
